I am a behavioral scientist with training in experimental methods, comparative politics, public administration, and personality psychology. I am interested in what makes people believe in themselves and achieve their goals. My current research focuses on improving individual ambition, efficacy, and civic cooperation worldwide. My second research agenda explores the replicability and generalizability of behavioral science theories with advanced data analysis methods. I hold a PhD from Columbia University. At DKU, I teach introductory courses in behavioral science and advanced research seminars on designing behavioral experiments. On top of my DKU duties, I serve on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Social and Political Psychology and consult various constituencies on efficacy-building policies and social measures.
