Pippa Morgan is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Duke Kunshan University. Her research mainly focuses on the political economy of South-South economic engagement, in particular China’s foreign aid, investment, contracting activities, and contribution to global health. More broadly, she is interested in combining quantitative and qualitative methods to understand how history influences contemporary political economy, economic development, and international relations. Pippa is the author of the book Chinese COVID-19 Vaccine Supplies to the Global South: Between Politics and Business, published in 2022 by Bristol University Press. Her research has also been published in various journals including Review of International Political Economy, Oxford Development Studies, China Quarterly, International Studies Quarterly, and Third World Quarterly. Pippa has a Ph.D. from Fudan University, and before joining Duke Kunshan, she was a Global Perspectives on Society Fellow at New York University Shanghai. Prior to entering academia, she worked as a policy advisor in the UK Department for Energy and Climate change.
