Megan Rogers

Assistant Professor of Sociology

I am a sociologist of religion and culture, with a focus on qualitative research methods (interviews and ethnography). My research focuses on religion and culture in contemporary China, with a particular interest in the intersections of religion and social inequality. I have two ongoing research projects: “Faith and Fortunes: Religion and the Professional Middle Class in Urban China” and “Cultural Diffusion in Online Spaces.” My teaching interests at DKU include culture, religion, social theory, and China studies. Prior to joining DKU, I was a postdoctoral research fellow with the Global Religions Research Initiative at the University of Notre Dame.
