Signature Work in the Social Sciences

Signature Work (SW) is one of the core elements in DKU’s innovative undergraduate curriculum. It provides a structure for significant independent work in the junior and senior years for all undergraduate students, guided by faculty mentors. The Signature Work experience consists of thematic courses linked to the SW topic, two capstone courses in the senior year and the SW product consisting of a written piece of work, a presentation on the Signature Work Conference and Exhibition and other components organized under the student’s DKU Portfolio.

Students wishing to work on SW projects related to the social sciences are encouraged to reach out to social science faculty at the beginning of their junior year (or earlier). The Division occasionally provides funding for projects related to social sciences, subject to available funds.
